What is the Facility Inventory Management module for?

The main purpose of the Facility Inventory Management module is to help the facility manager and store management team manage the inventory for the operation to function effectively as a huge sum is spent on operating and maintenance materials by facilities each year – everything from cleaning supplies to replacement parts for building HVAC systems.

By providing facility managers with up-to-date information on what is in their inventory, as well as how and when inventory items are used, these systems can improve decisions concerning what items should be maintained in the inventory, what quantity of those items should be maintained, and when and how many items should be reordered.

Master Catalog

Master Catalog is for facility manager/store personnel to add all items required to keep as inventory in its various category. An example will be the Cleaning Supplies category where the item will be toilet rolls, brooms and etc.

These master catalogs can be created across the entire company-wide. This catalog category and items can then be selected for each building if they are required. This will also allow that the procurement policy to achieve an economy of scale when purchasing the items.

Store

The store is created for the store and facility management team to perform their inventory management in terms of check-in, check-out, and also perform stock take.

Usually, there can be many stores that can be created for a building for easy access either by actual store location or by the individual trade of service. To ease the access for items within the trade or store, bins can be created such as the shelving concept.

Inventory

The inventory module allows the facility manager or/and store manager to check in, check out, alert to replenish items, perform stock take, and condemn items if necessary.

The inventory transparency will allow one to minimize inventory wastage during operation and maximize the saving benefits from the bulk purchase of inventory. The inventory usage report for each building will allow one to make the proper adjustment on their inventory procurement and also an allocation to the different properties managed under their company.
